Geophysical Data Processing

With a team of highly qualified and experienced seismic data processing consultants WTW is able to provide a range of services to oil companies and contractors. Whilst WTW does not provide the bulk processing services supplied by the contractors. WTW is able to handle smaller specialised processing projects. 

• Field Processing:

To complement WTW's land, transition zone and marine seismic acquisition quality control services personnel expert in remote field acquisition can be supplied. The range of skills include the ability to review the seismic data from the QC perspective or to run a full range of processing parameter tests with the aim of generating a final migrated volume. Personnel are familiar with operating the range of  processing software available to the industry and  in some cases are familiar with the hardware configurations.

• Processing Supervision:

For newly acquired 2D and 3D seismic data or vintage data sets WTW is able to provide both technical and commercial supervision of contractor seismic processing from the clients office, from  WTW's office in the UK or at the contractor’s centre. Personnel can discuss project objectives with the client interpretation teams to optimise the processing sequence at the target zones and prepare presentations of parameter selection for partner groups.

• Data Preparation:

With regards to vintage seismic data WTW have experience in unravelling the problems associated with storage problems, incomplete records and poorly archived data. A full in house service of data preparation can be provided ranging from identifying data sources, investigating their completeness and reviewing their validity through to the provision of a fully documented data set ready for client processing.
